If you have a special man in your life you still need gifts for, keep on reading! This is a list of my husband’s favorite things. He actually owns all of these items (which he’s acquired over many years), and still thinks each one is worthy of being on his “favorites” list. I even had him give me quotes about the products on a recent road trip – these opinions are 100% his!
Tecovas Boots – The Earl in Bourbon Calf

“Super comfortable and affordable. This is more of a roper style boot. I like the color because it goes with khaki, navy and denim. I wear them to work almost every day.”
“I actually don’t have a leather bag from Tecovas, but I have one that looks very similar that Janelle got me from TJ Maxx a few years back. There are very few times I feel particularly cool since I’m a dad now, but checking into a hotel with this bag on my shoulder makes me feel pretty stylish.”
The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket
“I’ve had this jacket longer than I’ve had Janelle. It goes with everything and is a great jacket for Texas. It’s thick enough for our “brutal” 40 degree winter days, and the shell keeps me dry during light rain showers.”
“I bought these for both of our cars and really like that we always have a place to put our phones while driving, especially if we have GPS going. The magnets are strong enough to hold the phone on bumpy roads. The suction on the holder is strong too. I recommend putting it on the window, not the dash.”
“Keeps your beer cold to the last sip.”
Ridgid Drill & Impact Combo Kit
“My most used tool for hanging up all those pictures Janelle needs on the walls. I thought it was such a good set, I bought it for one of my brothers. It has good battery life. It is supposed to have a lifetime warranty, but I haven’t needed to use that quite yet.”
Duluth Trading Armachillo Cooling Boxers
“I won’t go into too much detail here, but it keeps ya cool.”
*Note – One of the pairs I bought Marcus had the threading come loose at the waistband. I contacted Duluth because they have a lifetime guarantee on their products, and they replaced them for me no questions asked.
“I’ve learned that barbecuing is really more of a science than an art, and having a tool to tell you exactly when to pull the meat off the grill is key. I also like that this probe has a magnet on the back, so it’ll stick right on the grill.”
Orvis Long-Sleeved Casting Shirt
“Now that I have a toddler it’s enough work getting her sunscreened up in the summer. I prefer to just throw this on and skip the sunscreen for myself. It’s a cotton material instead of synthetic, so not only is it more comfortable but it wicks sweat and doesn’t start to smell bad.”
“If you like the idea of the Orvis shirt, but don’t want to shell out $60, this is a good $16 option that serves the same purpose.”
Goodthreads Men’s Oxford Shirt
“This is a great Amazon find. They are inexpensive and made of really soft cotton. I went with the standard fit, but they also come in slim. I think I have like six or seven of these now.”
Under Armour Showdown Venter Tapered Shorts

“Janelle wasn’t crazy about the mesh shorts in my regular rotation, so she got me these for my birthday. They are comfortable and look nice.”
“Comfortable pants that work for the office (mine is pretty causal) and weekends.”
“I really hate putting unnecessary holes in my walls. This tool takes the guesswork out of finding studs. The LEDs light up when there is a stud. It’s that simple.”
