We are so happy to share that we will be adding a baby BOY to the mix this spring!
We had two gender reveals – one with each side of our family! Marcus and I first found out the gender with his side of the family during a getaway at the lake house. My mother-in-law Sylvia was the only one who knew the gender, and she took the reigns in surprising the rest of the family!

Sylvia found these packets for everyone to throw into the fire pit that would eventually burn pink or blue. This method added even more anticipation, because it took about 30 seconds for them to burn enough for the flames to start changing colors. We were on pins and needles watching that fire!

Sylvia had also helped surprise us for Adeline’s gender reveal so we knew she would do a great job!

Two weeks later we celebrated Thanksgiving with my side of the family at the lake house, and we surprised THEM with the gender news. Keeping it a secret those two weeks was so tough!

There is a dart board up at the lake, so we thought it would be fun to incorporate a little dart game into the big reveal. We had a black balloon full of blue confetti hanging from one of the trees in the backyard. Everyone took turns shooting darts at the balloon. It was my brother-in-law Nick, who ended up with the winning shot!

The confetti balloon is by an Etsy shop called FloatingAffections.

We loved getting to share this exciting news with our families last month! Everyone is so thrilled to have a little boy in the family, and these family moments are something we will never, ever forget!
