A big Merry Christmas from my little family to yours! And a very big shoutout to my dad for taking our Christmas card photo and to my mom for jumping around for an hour trying to get Adeline to smile. Opposite of what the flannel my daughter is wearing suggests, it was about 90 degrees and terribly humid this day in early November. However, I still think the sweating was worth it for this sweet memory of Adeline’s first Christmas season!
I look forward to getting the mail during the holiday season, because I absolutely LOVE getting Christmas cards from my friends and family. Each year I punch a hole in the cards and tie them all together with a little ribbon. I’ve also seen people hold them together with a metal ring. It’s a nice way to keep them organized by year, and it gives you a good reason to hold onto them year after year. I put them out of my coffee table each Christmas season, and pack them away with my holiday decorations each January.
Here are a few outtakes from our little photo shoot that I thought were cute, but just didn’t make the cut.
And worst pose idea goes to this one… I can barely hold it together when looking at this series!
Merry Christmas, friends!!!
LOVE the keepsake idea!
Thank you! Your card is added to this year’s 🙂
Such a good idea! Can’t wait to try this. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
I am so sad that I am just reading about this now! What a great idea! I guess it’s better late than never to start collecting.
It’s never too late!
