Just last weekend I had the privilege of participating in local jewelry designer Tweet & Peep’s earring workshop! It was at The Royal Standard (one of my favorite stores) in the Towne Lake Boardwalk and was the perfect girls night out!
Neeli, the owner and creator of Tweet and Peep is generously doing a giveaway on my Instagram page! She’s giving away a grey pair of her popular fringe earrings (shown above), and believe me you will want to enter! Hop on over there to participate.
Tweet & Peep Jewelry
Tweet & Peep is a fairly new brand, just getting started in April of 2017. Neeli started out making her jewelry for family and friends as gifts, but wanted to share her pieces with a wider audience. She started with necklaces and bracelets, and has recently moved into making earrings as well. She personally has sensitive ears, so makes it an effort to make sure her earrings are as lightweight as possible. Amen!
Neeli says her tassel earrings and necklaces are her best sellers, and I can absolutely see why. Check out her site for her full collection – there are so many cute styles! Neeli got the idea for her unique name from combining her daughter’s nickname (Tweetie) and her niece’s nickname (Peepers). The shortened version Tweet and Peep is what stuck!
The Workshop
This event was so much fun! It was on a Friday evening, there was plenty of food and wine (very important details), and tables set with all the supplies we would need. Once everyone visited a bit, got a bite to eat and found their seats, Neeli explained to the group what we would be doing and gave us a couple different styles of earrings we could create. She made the process very simple, gave us multiple ideas on how to customize our pieces and made herself easily accessible for questions and to help out. The project was easy enough that you could socialize while working on it, but challenging enough that it took some time and focus to get it just how you wanted it. You can check out all her upcoming events and workshops on the events page of her website. One may be popping up in your area!
Do something different with your girlfriends!
Personally, I really like events like the jewelry making workshop Neeli put on. It’s fun to get together to do something a bit outside the norm, especially when it’s something that gets the creative juices flowing. I would not call myself crafty in the slightest, but when I have proper instruction and help nearby, I do love to create things. I was so happy with my final product (below). I’ll be wearing these babies all fall!I challenge you to try and plan something unique for your next girls night. Whether it’s a creative workshop, a cooking class, a new work out class format, or a night of pampering (pedicures anyone?), try and think outside of the normal dinner and drinks. I promise you, you will have a great time, and might even learn something new!
If you would like to host a jewelry making workshop with your friends, you can contact Neeli here for details.
You can follow Tweet & Peep on Instagram and Facebook to stay up to date with new releases and upcoming events. I can’t wait to see what Neeli comes up with next!
