Thank you to The Boardwalk Towne Lake for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own!
The Boardwalk Towne Lake goes all out for Christmas! They have a larger than life Christmas tree and had a big tree lighting event earlier this month that we attended. They also put together a really well thought out “photos with Santa” experience that is definitely worth sharing about!

Santa Photos
Here’s what we really appreciated about this Santa setup:
- It was indoors. It was pretty warm today, so we were thankful to not be standing outside sweating. This would also be great for a cold day too!
- We LOVED having a reservation. You choose your time and pay online. We were in and out in 10 minutes. Such an efficient operation.
- They do a really nice job building up to the moment when the kids get to meet Santa. When you come in there is a small table where you can write a letter to Santa. When it’s your family’s turn you walk down a red carpet and stop at a big wooden door. Finally they open the door and Santa is sitting there in a beautiful white chair surrounded my Christmas trees. It was very thoughtfully done.
- I liked that the photographer took multiple pictures and let me choose which one I would like to have printed. You get all of them digitally.
You can sign up to get your photos taken here. Santa will be at The Boardwalk this coming Friday 12/20 through Monday 12/23 from 12-5pm. I highly recommend this if you haven’t made it to see Santa yet!

After photos we let the kids run around in the green space for a bit before we took them home. Marcus and I booked our sitter for a few hours and came back to the Boardwalk to do some shopping and grab a late lunch.

Kendra Scott
Our first shopping spot was Kendra Scott’s pop-up shop! December is my birthday month, so I definitely wanted to use my 50% off discount on something special. I chose a gorgeous pair of statement earrings that I’m planning to wear to our neighborhood’s New Year’s Eve party!

I also got a fun gold bangle that I think will go with just about anything. They have gift sets that make shopping for a loved one really easy and the Color Bar which allows you to create a custom piece you absolutely love.

I am so happy we have Kendra Scott here in The Boardwalk this holiday season! Also important, Marcus gave the “husband waiting area” two thumbs up.

The Royal Standard
Next we hopped over to The Royal Standard, one of my favorite local stores! The Royal Standard started in Louisiana, and we have their ONLY Texas store right here in Cypress! The Royal Standard has a lot in the decor department (both for the holidays and every day). They also have clothing, the BEST pajamas and tons of gift-able items.

The store was all dressed up for Christmas and looked beautiful!

One of my favorite things about The Royal Standard is their price point. It is very affordable to begin with, and they run a good amount of sales throughout the year. There is a lot marked down 50% at the moment!

Bramble and Bee
Then we popped in Bramble and Bee, another holiday pop up shop at The Boardwalk. They had gorgeous fresh and dried bouquets of flowers and lots of fun gifts as well. They are open Friday-Sunday until Christmas.

Finally, Marcus and I headed to Union Kitchen for a late lunch. We are trying to be really intentional about 1:1 time and this little afternoon was just what we needed in the busy holiday season.

I’m really thankful we have The Boardwalk so close to our house here in Towne Lake. Between the Texas Children’s pediatrician, Chick-fil-a, Torchy’s and all the great restaurants and retail, we are up at The Boardwalk all the time. We really love to go by boat if the weather is nice and dock at one of the slips.

There’s something for everyone at The Boardwalk Towne Lake. It’s a great place to let the kids get some energy out on the green space, do a little shopping and grab a bite to eat. The fact that it’s right on the water and all decorated for Christmas makes it even better.
