Wondering what a baby shusher is? It’s exactly what it sounds like.
I’ll be honest. I saw this product when I was pregnant and working on my baby registry and thought it was ridiculous. I remember thinking – Why would anyone need this? What does it even do? Just go “shhhh”? Why is it $30??
I’ll tell you. You need this because for some reason it makes your baby stop crying and start sleeping. Yes, as expected all it does is shush, but it does so loudly and consistently, which babies (or at least ours) LOVED. And I have no idea why it is $30, but we literally would have paid triple that for this product because it worked that well in our house.
I would say the shusher was the most useful in the first month of her life – it traveled to every room of the house. We still use it at bedtime interchangeably with the sound machine on her crib. It’s also great for travel.
There are also an app versions (for Apple and Android) which only cost $4.99. This is great because it is always going to be with you (the likelihood you leave your phone somewhere is slim), but the downside is you might want to take your phone with you into the other room when the baby goes down instead of leaving it to “shhhh” your little one.
Either way, I think this product was well worth the investment so I wanted to share.
