The Shining and The Birds Couples/Partner Costumes

Easy Toddler Costumes
Adeline’s pumpkin romper is no longer in stock, but here are a few other pumpkin costumes that won’t break the bank: a Walmart option and a Target option. We used ours for pumpkin patch photos last year, so that’s another idea for a costume like this!

Adeline wore her strawberry costume to Mother’s Day Out and a dress-up playdate we had on Halloween. This minky dot fabric is so soft. She was comfortable all day in this (even napped in it twice) and wanted to put it back on when I took it off of her after school!
I couldn’t find the exact strawberry costume online, but here is one that is very similar.

Flintstones Family Costume
For trick or treating around the neighborhood, and for her daddy’s Halloween kid’s party, Adeline was Pebbles from the Flintstones. I found Adeline’s costume on Etsy, and ours on Amazon (Wilma and Fred).
For sizing reference, I got the small (which still worked with a small baby bump) and Marcus got the medium. Our costumes were made of felt, so while they were comfortable, they could have been hot depending on the weather.
For Adeline’s dress, I went with the 9-12 month size per the seller’s recommendation. It was plenty of dress for her in my opinion. The top of her dress was very stretchy. The tulle wasn’t particularly comfortable (i.e. she was ready to take it off when we were done). She looked adorable though, so it was worth it! Here are also 2 more Pebbles and Bam Bam costumes for kids that are super cute!

Titanic Family Costume
Our family went as Titanic passengers to my uncle Charlie’s Halloween party one year. We had a great time pulling our costumes together! Most of everything we are wearing is from a thrift shop or something we already had. We used gray cream makeup and fake snow to get the frozen look.

Shannon and Nick were Rose and Jack (notice the Heart of the Ocean around her neck) and my mom was Rose’s mother. My dad was the captain and Marcus and me were passengers.

The only recommendation I have to make the costumes even better would have been to add life vests on some of the group. I found Marcus’ hat and pipe on Amazon. We had such a fun time at the party and I love the fact that we get to do fun stuff like this together.
The Shining and The Birds Couples/Partner Costumes
Another year my sister and I were the sisters from The Shining and my parents were from the movie The Birds. More info on these family costumes here.

Toy Story Family Costumes

Our Toy Story family costumes were another big hit! Almost everything was found on Amazon. My dress, Adeline’s dress and hat, Jacob’s onesie, and Marcus’ Buzz Lightyear shirt. This baby Buzz Lightyear costume is also adorable!

Low Effort/Crowd Pleaser Group Costumes

A super easy group Halloween costume idea is to be the Cone Heads from SNL.
Moana Family Costume
We found costumes for Moana, Hei Hei, Maui, and Te Fiti from the Moana movie, and it turned out so cute! Perfect for a family of 4!

Of course you have to have some fun wigs! Here are links to the black wig and the green wig. We used a simple red top and bottom for Jacob’s Hei Hei custome, and you can find his rooster hat here!
Adeline’s costume came as a set and turned out super adorable! We paired it with some black boots she already had.
