Over Memorial Day weekend, my sister Shannon and her boyfriend Nick made the beautiful decision to spend their lives together. Nick chose to ask Shannon to marry him in the backyard at my family’s lake house in Lago Vista, Texas. Anyone who knows my sister well knows that was the absolute perfect backdrop for this memory. Here are a few images I captured from the special day.
How about that view? The lake house made for some beautiful engagement pictures. A tidbit I will never forget is our sweet dad hiding in the bushes/trees (in full camo!) taking photos of these two.
After the proposal, both families shared an alfresco brunch on the back patio. One of my favorite features of the lake house are these sliding doors that open up to that killer view.
We repurposed this chalkboard from Marcus and I’s wedding. I love being able to reuse things like this. I worked with October Sunset Designs for the hand lettering on the chalkboard. If you are in the Houston area and looking for something similar, I would highly recommend checking out her Etsy shop!
I am looking forward to all the celebrations to come for Shannon and Nick as the big day approaches, but even more so to watch them grow closer together through marriage. God is so good!
Congratulations to Shannon & Nick – let the party – ?…… Uhhh ! Wait ! ☺️-The PLANNING BEGIN ?.
We can’t wait!
Thank you for helping Nick make it such a special day!! The chalk board sign and decorations were such a sweet touch!
You’re so welcome. It was a great weekend!
