I’m sure most of you have heard of the Skimm, but in case you haven’t, I wanted to share it as my favorite way to consume trust-worthy news.
The Skimm is a daily overview of current events that comes to your inbox each workday morning. It is written by two 20-something girls that started this venture while working together at NBC news. Need to know who is in the Final Four? What is going on in Syria? Some info on the latest IPO everyone is talking about? Or the status of the latest immigration bill? These girls have you covered.
The email only takes about five minutes to read (or Skimm!) and does a great job highlighting the key takeaways of different hot topic issues. More importantly (in my opinion) they do so in a usually unbiased, interesting and informative way – with the perfect amount of sarcasm and humor. They are honestly just excellent writers and have made the first five minutes of my day at work something I look forward to.
